Ruth A. Gass, an 86-year-old resident of Denver, CO, died on Monday night, July 26, 2004 at St. Anthony Central Hospital in Denver.

Ruth A. Gass, an 86-year-old resident of Denver, CO, died on Monday night, July 26, 2004 at St. Anthony Central Hospital in Denver.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2004 at the Grundy Center United Methodist Church, northeast of Trenton. Rev. Mike Moore and Rev. Jerry Henderson will officiate. Burial will be in Grundy Center Cemetery, northeast of Trenton.

A family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 291, 2004 at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton.

Mrs. Gass was born on May 30, 1918 in LuVerne, IA, the daughter of Willis and Lois Zweifel Martin. She attended Mattoon, IL, schools. She had lived in Denver since 1956. She had been employed by North America Aviation of Los Angeles CA and also work for Plasticrafts in Denver.

She was married on March 21, 1946 in Chicago, IL to Von E. Gass, who survives of the home.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Vicki Meservey and her husband, Gary, of Trenton and Glenda Sautter and her husband, Gary, of Trenton; two sons, Steven Gass and his wife, Sharon, of Florissant, CO and Robert Gass of the home; three grandchildren, Nathan Meservey of Springfield, Alissa Meservey of Sedalia and and Jennifer Christophersen and her husband, Noah, of Tahlequah, OK; two great-grandsons, Isaac Christophersen and Ian Christophersen, both of Tahlequah; and one sister, Norma Lindsay of Mattoon.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Howard Martin.

The family has suggested memorials to the Grundy Center Cemetery. They may be left at the funeral home.
