A public hearing was held Monday morning at the Grundy County Courthouse concerning amendments to the current county budget.
County Clerk Kristi Urich said the amendments involve three grants received by the juvenile office. The first is a $4,212 grant from the Department of Public Safety for teen court training. The second is a $29,207.74 grant from the Department of Public Safety for intensive supervision. The third grant is from the Division of Youth Services for $39,250, which is a renewal for the mentoring program. Only half of the grant, $19,625, will be amended to this year’s budget as the grant runs from July 1, 2004 to June 30, 2005.
