The Trenton Economic Development Committee met Thursday evening, discussing the hiring of an events coordinator and the city?s sesquicentennial.
According to City Clerk Cindy Simpson, the committee agreed to meet again on July 29 to further discuss an events planner and at that time will focus on a tentative budget. In addition, the city?s sesquicentennial, which will be observed in 2007, was discussed, with committee members planning to organize a group to plan a celebration. That group will be formed this fall and anyone who is interested in being involved in the project is asked to contact city hall at 359-2013. Those names will be put on a list and will be contacted when the first meeting is scheduled.
