Arvard Wayne Ward, a 76-year-old resident of Clio, IA, died on Thursday, July 8, 2004 at the Lucas County Hospital in Chariton, IA.
The body was created under the direction of the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Service of Lineville, IA. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at the Greenlee-Middletown Funeral Chapel in Lineville. Rev. Max Carmichael will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Lineville at a later date.
Mr. Ward was born on March 31, 1928 at Mercer, the son of Adelbert Montgomery and Gladys Mary Vinzant Ward. He was raised in Mercer County. He was employed by John Deere and Company of Moline, IL for 10 years and was a member of the United Auto Workers Union, Local #865 of Moline. He moved from the Quad Cities area to Clio in 1976.
He is survived by two daughters, Janna Marie Engebretson and her husband, Richard, of Davenport, IA, and Pamela Rae Vogel and her husband, Kent, of Lineville; two grandsons, Kody Vogel of Aurora, CO and Kole Vogel of Lineville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Estel McCarty; and three brothers, Harold, Lyle and an infant brother, Marvin.
