The Princeton R-5 Board of Education held a special meeting Tuesday evening, approving the 2004-2005 budget and hiring two assistant football coaches.
According to information provided by Superintendent Alan Hamilton, the board approved the closure of the 2003-2004 fiscal year budget, which showed all areas under budget. The fund balance is at $919,066 of which $266,962 is in restricted funds for scholarships. The 2004-2005 budget shows projected revenues of $3,682,218 and anticipated revenues of $3,667,603, leaving a balance of $14,615. Expenditures are $8,351 more than last year.
In other business, the board approved the Core Data report for the 2003-2004 school year and hired Nathan Hendricks and Bryan Williams to serve as assistant football coaches.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 12.
