Graveside services for Kenneth McWaid will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2004 at the Rural Dale Cemetery, located east of Trenton. Pastor Don Jahraus will officiate.
There is no scheduled family visitation at the Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton.
Mr. McWaid, an 86-year-old resident of 1026 Lake Trenton Dr., died at 7:50 a.m. on Monday, June 21, 2004 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton, where he had been a patient since Sunday, June 13, 2004.
Mr. McWaid was born on Dec. 31, 1917, southeast of Laredo in Linn County, the son of Rollie R. and Marie Winfrey McWaid. He was raised near Galt and graduated from Galt High School in 1936. He moved to California in 1940 and he was employed at Hughs Aircraft for over 30 years before his retirement in 1981. After his retirement, he and his wife had spent their summers in Missouri and winters in California.
He was married on April 10, 1941 at Trenton to Maxine Mary Green, who preceded him in death on Aug. 31, 1990.
He was a member of the Trenton Masonic Lodge No. 111 AF&AM.
Mr. McWaid is survived by a son, Kenneth Dean ?Kenny? McWaid and his wife, Leslie, of Los Angeles, CA; a grandson, Kenneth Brian McWaid; and two great-grandchildren, Brittnay and Kenneth Michael McWaid.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Russell McWaid, and a sister, Maxine Farris.
