Billy Dale Pittman, a 45-year-old resident of Newtown, died on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at his home.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 21, 2004 at the Newtown Christian Church. Pastor Dennis Daum officiated. Burial was in the Newtown Cemetery under the direction of the Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home at Milan.

Mr. Pittman was born April 7, 1959 in Lawton, OK, the son of William Arthur and Ruby Lee Imoe Pittman. He grew up in Lawton and was a grocery store manager and later head of security for Hyatt Regency hotels in Houston, TX, where he resided for 14 years. He had lived in the Newtown area the past three years. He loved spending time with his family and friends, making jewelry and fishing.

He was married on Jan. 27, 2001 to C’Alicia Phillippa Robbins, who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Ruby Skinner of Newtown; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Julie and Bruce Wolf of Newtown, June and John Bailey and Tammy Lynn and Al Coble of Lawton, Teresa Ann and Scott Daly of Houston, TX and Ruby Diane and Eddie Charping of Colorado Springs, CO: four aunts; four uncles; eight nieces and nephews; and two great-nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father in 2003 and one brother, Royal Pittman in 2002.

The family has requested memorials be made to the family to help defray expenses.
