Randall W. Tedlock, an 85-year-old resident of St. Joseph, died on Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at a St. Joseph hospital.

Randall W. Tedlock, an 85-year-old resident of St. Joseph, died on Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at a St. Joseph hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2004 at the Meierhoffer Family Funeral Service in St. Joseph. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
A family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 o?clock tonight (Thursday, June 3, 2004) at the funeral home. General visitation is under way.
Mr. Tedlock was born Dec. 23, 1918 in Gilman City, the son of Jacob W. and Dawn Welden Tedlock. He earned his bachelor of science degree, two master?s degrees and a specialist degree in school administration.
He started his career as a coach and teacher. He taught in Breckinridge, Pattonsburg, Martinsville, Jamesport, Grant City and Trenton. From January 1965 to July of 1969 he was superintendent of the Waynesville, Fort Leonard Wood and Louisiana schools, then retired in 1979 as superintendent of the Montgom-ery County School District. He was also president of Trenton Junior College from 1964 to 1966.
He served with the U.S. Marine Crops as a first lieutenant in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
Mr. Tedlock attended the Wyatt Park Baptist Church and was an ordained deacon and former treasurer of the St. Joseph Baptist Association. He was a past member of the Missouri State Teachers Association, the Missouri Association of School Admini-strators and had been Director of School Finance for the Missouri Department of Education. He was a Mason, a past member of the Rotary and Lions clubs, the VFW, the American Legion and was active in various civic organizations.
He was married at Stanberry on April 21, 1946 to Virginia K. Richardson, who survives of the home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Kevin D. Tedlock, and his wife, Teresa S., of St. Joseph; two sisters, Nadine Stewart of St. Peter, MN and Norma Mundell of Lake Havasu City, AZ; two grandsons, Jacob R. and Ethen J. Tedlock; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marjorie Huleva; and brother, James Tedlock.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the St. Joseph School District Foundation.
