Margaret L. Cole, an 86-year-old resident of Davenport, IA, died on Friday, March 19, 2004 at Genesis Medical Center in Davenport. She was a former Trenton resident.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 29, 2004 at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Trenton under the direction of the Slater Funeral Home. Rev. Daryl Mayfield will officiate.
Mrs. Cole was born on Aug. 1, 1917 in Trenton, the daughter of Jesse M. and Sara Ellen Thomas Rogers. She was married in 1936 to Robert A. Brodie, who died in 1953. She was later married on Sept. 4, 1955 at Trenton to John Cole, who died on Sept. 16, 1977.
Mrs. Cole is survived by two sons, James R. Brodie and his wife, Joann, of Trenton, and Thomas M. Brodie of Loveland, CO; six granddaughters; 14 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and her caregiver, Tammy Lipke of Davenport.
Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; one infant daughter, Barbara Jean Brodie; one son, David L. Brodie; two sisters, Oren Kidd and Viola Buenga and by two brothers, John and Harry Rogers.
