Ruth E. Whyte, an 83-year-old resident of Plattsburg, died on Saturday, May 22, 2004 at the Oakridge of Plattsburg at Plattsburg. She was a former Chillicothe resident.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens at Chillicothe.
A family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 o?clock tonight (Monday, May 24, 2004) at the Norman-Wagy-Gordon Funeral Home in Chillicothe. General visitation is now under way at the funeral home.
Mrs Whyte was born on Nov. 2, 1920 in Cameron, the daughter of J. Harry and Grave R. Ensign Hulizer. She was married at Cameron on Dec. 31, 1940 to Paul J. Whyte, who preceded her in death on Nov. 26, 2000.
She is survived by one son, William. J. ?Bud? Whyte of Lee?s Summit; two daughters, Virginia A. ?Susie? Rizer of Pueblo, CO and Joyce C. Slayden of Gower; five grandchildren; Sshley Slayden of Gower, Adrienne Hobbs of Denver, CO, Jeff Murray of Fowler, CO, Chris Whyte of Lee?s Summit and Jarrott Whyte of St. Joseph; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Nell E. Spradlin.
