There was a tie for valedictorian of the eighth grade class at the Pleasant View R-6 School this year.
Falisha Anderson and Nicole Fischbach were named the top students in the class during graduation ceremonies Tuesday night at the school. Miss Anderson also received the reading circle, the perfect attendance award and was named to the A honor roll all four quarters. Miss Fischbach received the reading circle and was also named to the A honor roll all four quarters.
Serena Frey was recognized for being named to the B+ honor roll all four quarters. Kody Hill received the Claude M. and Nadine Eckert Citizenship Award and was named to the A honor roll all four quarters. Colton McGinness received the presidential physical fitness award and was named to the A honor roll for four quarters. Other graduates were Jace Glidewell and Kevin Gott.
Dr. Nick McHargue was the graduation speaker.
