Contestants are being sought for the first Gooseberry Festival Pageant, scheduled for 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, June 18 at the Trenton AMS Mall auditorium.
There are categories for infants to age three in the baby contest with judging to be based on appearance and personality. Ages 3 to 6 will vie for the titles of junior prince and princess while girls ages 7 to 12 can be entered in the princess category. Girls ages 13 and over will be eligible to participate in the queen contest. All categories, except that of queen, will be judged on appearance and personality. The queen contest will include interviews on Wednesday evening prior to the Friday night contest.
Prizes will be given to winners in each category. There is an entry fee of $5 for queen contestants and $3 for all other categories. Entry forms are available at any store in the Trenton AMS Mall. Additional information is available by calling Sandy at 359-3351 or Connie at 359-5555.
