Betty Frances Hall, a 73-year-old resident of the Sunnyview Apartments in Trenton, died at 7:30 a.m on Monday May 17, 2004 at the North Kansas City Hospital, where she had been a patient for one week. She formerly resided at 831 Town and Country Lane in Trenton for many years.

Betty Frances Hall, a 73-year-old resident of the Sunnyview Apartments in Trenton, died at 7:30 a.m on Monday May 17, 2004 at the North Kansas City Hospital, where she had been a patient for one week. She formerly resided at 831 Town and Country Lane in Trenton for many years.

Funeral services for Miss Hall will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2004 at the Ketcham Community Center on the North Central Missouri College campus. Rev. Daryl Mayfield will officiate. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the First Christian Church in Trenton from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 19, 2004.

Miss Hall was born on May 2, 1931 in the Forks of the River in rural Trenton, the daughter of George Leslie and Cleo Fancheon Thompson Hall. She graduated from Trenton Junior College in Trenton with an associate degree in elementary education. She also received her bachelor of science degree in 1957, her master of arts degree in 1963, and additional hours in Learning Disabilities and Mental Retardation from Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville. Miss Hall also held certificates and licenses, including the Missouri Nursing Home Administration License, life teaching certificates in elementary education, special education and learning disabilities and a life certificate in elementary administration and supervision.

Miss Hall was a teacher and teaching principal in three districts of Grundy and Livingston counties from 1951 to 1965. She then went to work for the Missouri State Training School for Girls in Chillicothe as a special education teacher from 1965 to 1972, and then as an education supervisor from 1972 to June 30, 1981. After this, she took a job with the Sunnyview Nursing Home and Apartments as Administrator from July 1, 1981 to Nov. 1, 1987.

Miss Hall served on and belonged to many organizations, including the past president, Board of Trustees at North Central Missouri College; past president, Grundy County Health Board; past president, Grundy County Learning Center; past president, Church Women United; past president, Human Resources Council; past president and Woman of the Year in 1981, Business and Professional Women; member and pianist, Trenton Rotary Club; American Association of University Women; Heritage Club; past vice president, Auxiliary of Wright Memorial Hospital; past president, Salem Cemetery Association; Retired Teachers Association, Grundy County Republican Women, Riverside Country Club, Grundy County Museum; past treasurer, Citizen?s Advisory Board for Probation and Parole; Retired Senior Volunteer Program; Trenton First Christian Church organist, Sunday school teacher, past chairman of the board and elder; was past moderator and served on area board of Christian churches; was a volunteer for the CASA Program; and served as a past president and member of the Sunnyview Nursing Home Board of Directors.

Miss Hall is survived by cousins, Robert and Ann Sibbit of Princeton, Roberta Chambers of Corydon, IA, Donna Hathaway of Germantown, TN, Janet Sibbit of Trenton, Token Dickerson of Louisburg, KS, Dusti Relph of Corydon, Jared Chambers of Corydon, David Hathaway of Collierville, TN, Marcy McClaran of Kansas City, Tara Bradley of Olathe, KS, Monica Masolini of Clio, MI, and Joann Kirk of Trenton, ; and special friends, Rhonda Watkins of the home in Trenton, Brian Fletcher of Kansas City and Bradley Fletcher of Trenton .

Besides her parents, Miss Hall was preceded in death by a sister, Nadine Hall; an infant brother, Kenneth Hall; and an aunt, Blonda Sibbit.

The family has suggested that memorial contributions be left to either the First Christian Church or North Central Missouri College.

Arrangements and funeral services are being conducted by the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton.
