Orriss Maudelene Kinnison, an 88-year-old former resident of Hale, died on Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at the Indian Hills Nursing Home in Chillicothe, where she had been a resident since Oct. 30, 2001.

Orriss Maudelene Kinnison, an 88-year-old former resident of Hale, died on Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at the Indian Hills Nursing Home in Chillicothe, where she had been a resident since Oct. 30, 2001.
Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, May 14, 2004 at Cameron Cemetery in Hale.
A family visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. on Friday at the Lindley Funeral Home in Hale. General visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2004 at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home in Hale.
Mrs. Kinnison was born on Sept. 12, 1915 near Bogard in Carroll County, the daughter of Clarence Hamilton and Ethel May Ingram Cornwell. She was married on July 4, 1935 in Coloma to Delbert Leland Kinnison, who preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 1990. She lived most of her life in Missouri, except for a short period of time as a child in Iowa and 10 years in the state of Washington early in her marriage. She was a long-time member of the Hale Baptist Church and was an active member of the Hale Chapter of Army Mothers.
She is survived by five children, Delbert Leland Jr. of Hale, Luella Jane Conger of Hallsville, Velma Lee Windsor of Brookfield, Roxcie Lavone Setzer of Sumner and Millard “Mickey” Lowell of Albany; nine grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Thelma Louise Camlen on Jan. 20, 1991; and a brother, Wayne, in 1989.
