Lela Ruth Marshall, a 69-year-old resident of Gilman City, died on Friday, May 7, 2004 at her home.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at the Pilot Grove No. 1 Baptist Church, south of Gilman City.
A family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 o?clock tonight (Monday, May 10, 2004) at the Roberson Funeral Home in Gilman City. The body will be cremated following the visitation. General visitation is now in progress at the funeral home.
Mrs. Marshall was born July 9 1934 in Grundy County, the daughter of Alfred G. and Grace Gass Urton. She was married on April 28, 1957 to Charles W. Marshall, who survives of the home.
Mrs. Marshall taught for 25 years at the Herbert, R-6 and Gilman City schools. She had taught GED classes in the surrounding area the past few years. She was a member of the Pilot Grove No. 1 Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, David Marshall and his wife, Glenda, of Gilman City, Stephen Marshall and his wife, Kim, of Gilman City and Mark Marshall of Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic; one daughter, Ruth Jeaneen Boyer and her husband, Mark, of Faucett; one sister, Mary Ann Lavely and her husband, Don, of Derby, IA; one brother, Ronald Ray Urton and his wife, Carolyn, of Trenton; and 12 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Lilly Mae.
