The North Central Missouri College Board of Trustees has set a special meeting for noon on Friday to choose a consulting firm to assist in the board’s search for a new president.

During a special meeting on Tuesday, the board heard from Dr. Don Hunter of Hockaday, Hunter and Associates concerning the services his company can offer. Presentations have already been made by Dr. David Pierce of the Association of Community College Trustees and Dr. Bill Scaggs of Gold Hill and Associates and the board will be choosing from those three firms. The board will be conducting a search to replace Dr. Walter Nolte, who is leaving to take a position at Casper College in Casper, WY.

In personnel matters, the board voted to hire Jackie Wyant and Kim Nash for positions in the Adult Education Literacy Program. Mrs. Wyant will serve as an administrative assistant, beginning on May 11. Ms. Nash will be moved to the full-time position of developmental specialist, with that moving being retroactive to April 1. She had been in that position full-time previously, but the position was cut back to part-time due to a reduction in grant funding. Those monies have since been restored.

The board also held an executive session for a personnel matter. No announcement was made.
