Gerry D. Wise, a 62-year-old resident of Kingston, died on Saturday, April 17, 2004 at his home. The body was cremated.

Mr. Wise was born in Yuba City, CA on Aug. 9, 1941, the son of Trubie and Neal Wise. He worked for 22 years as a maintenance mechanic at Worlds of Fun. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the South Evans Christian Church and enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, golf and rowing.

He was married on May 17, 1965 at Wichita, KS, to Linda L. Hill, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Lisa Hertzog and Vonda LaPiana, both of Hamilton; five grandchildren, Kelli Hertzog, Kevin Hertzog, Joseph LaPiana, Matthew LaPiana and Nikki LaPiana, all of Hamilton; four sisters, Betty Siemer of Spickard, Deloris Little of Trenton, Patty Urton of Hermitage and Donna Littrell of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and one brother, Bill Wise of Leesburg, FL.
