Mary Berniece Troxel, a 93-year-old resident of the Lake Viking Health Care Center at Gallatin, died on Thursday, April 8, 2004 at the care center.

Mary Berniece Troxel, a 93-year-old resident of the Lake Viking Health Care Center at Gallatin, died on Thursday, April 8, 2004 at the care center.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2004 at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Burial will be in the Old Scotland Cemetery at Jameson.
Mrs. Troxel was born on Dec. 23, 1910 in Daviess County near Jameson, the daughter of Richard and Sally Terry Stretch. She attended the Old Scotland and Jameson schools. She lived on the farm until moving to town in her later years. She was a member of the Old Scotland Church of Christ at Jameson and also attended church in Gallatin.
She is survived by one son, Gary Troxel of Trenton; one brother, Russell Stretch of Chillicothe; five grandchildren, Rhonda Gentry of Lee’s Summit, Larry Troxel of Chillicothe, Norman Troxel of Columbia and Matthew and Cody Troxel of Trenton; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Old Scotland Cemetery.
