The Trenton Middle School boys and girls track teams opened their seasons at the Cameron Quad on Tuesday afternoon.
The quad was divided by grades. The TMS eighth grade boys had 13 placewinners, while the seventh grade results were incomplete. Both the seventh and eighth grade girls each had nine placewinners.
Andie Vandevender took first in the triple jump. Wade Key was second in the 1600-meter run, Tyson Blattner was second in the triple jump, Scott Stevens was second in the 100-meter dash and Kyle Hoyt took second in the shot put.
Other eighth grade placewinners included, third place, Stevens in the 200-meter dash, Vandevender in long jump and Tyler Brinkley in the discus; fourth place, Adam Hanes in the 100-meter dash and Mathew Mayfield in shot put; and fifth place, Ryan Wright in the high jump.
Seventh grade results included T.J. Ireland, second in the 100-meter dash; Jeremiah Udovich, second in the 1600-meter run; and Cree Beverlin, fourth in the triple jump and fifth in the shot put.
Aleisha Shipley-Fair took second in the 800-meter run to lead the eighth grade girls. JaNae Whitney took third in the 50-meter hurdles and the long jump. Elizabeth Hoffman took third in the 400-meter dash. Sheynee Smith, Maddison Paulsen, Savannah Hanson and Aimee Gutshall teamed up to take third in the 4×200-meter relay. Hanson, Whitney, Shipley-Fair and Gutshall also made up the 4×100-meter relay team, which placed third. Hanson placed fourth in the 100-meter dash, Gutshall was fifth in the 200-meter dash and Felicia Udovich was fifth in the 800-meter run.
Stephanie Bramblett led the girls seventh grade with a first in the 400-meter run. Crystal Pash, Callie Bacon, Tosha Hutchinson and Kayna Tolle took second as the 4×100-meter relay. Bacon, Tolle, Pash and Amanda Stiner teamed up for second in the 4×200-meter relay. Hutchinson took fourth in the 100-meter and 200-meter dash. Tolle took fifth in the 200-meter and 100-meter dash. Joycelynn Still was fifth in the 800-meter run and Nichole Dillon was fifth in the high jump.
The TMS track teams will host Gallatin and Princeton at 4 p.m. on Thursday at C.F. Russell Stadium.
