Ryle M. Slagle, a 78-year-old resident of 2205 Chicago St. in Trenton, died on Friday, April 2, 2004 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.

Ryle M. Slagle, a 78-year-old resident of 2205 Chicago St. in Trenton, died on Friday, April 2, 2004 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.

The body was cremated. No services are planned at this time. The Slater Funeral Home of Trenton is handling arrangements.

Mr. Slagle was born April 16, 1925 in Garnett, KS, the son of Charles Wesley and Bessie Hart Slagle. He worked as a police officer and was self-employed as an auto mechanic. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Trenton and the Grand River Lodge No. 52, IOOF of Trenton.

He was married on Feb. 17, 1970 at Oak Park, IL to Luella Kolodziejsk, who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a step-son, Dennis Kolodziejski of Trenton; three step-grandchildren, Keith Kolod-ziejski Brian Kolodziejski and Nicole Kolodziejski, all of Trenton; a sister, Ruth Pratt of Clarinda, IA; two brothers, James Slagle of the state of Oregon and Earl Slagle of the state of New Mexico State; and a nephew, Rockie Slagle of Derby, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
