Faye Hutson, a 92-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 8:25 a.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2004 at the North Kansas City Hospital, where she had been a patient since March 9, 2004.

Faye Hutson, a 92-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 8:25 a.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2004 at the North Kansas City Hospital, where she had been a patient since March 9, 2004. She has previously been at Wright Memorial Hospital since March 1, 2004.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at the Tenth Street Baptist Church in Trenton. Revs. Richard Key and David Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
There is no scheduled family visitation at the mortuary.
Mrs. Hutson was born Dec. 25, 1911 at Montrose, the daughter of Henry Duncan and Nettie Elizabeth Morrison Campbell. She was married on June 12, 1931 at Osceola, IA, to Westley Milton Hutson, who preceded her in death on March 25, 2000. They moved to Trenton in 1938 and farmed in the Hickory area. In her early years, she worked as a telephone switchboard operator.
Mrs. Hutson was a member of the Shelburne Baptist Church for over 60 years and served in several offices. She was active in the Farm Bureau and was selected as Farm Bureau Woman of the Year. She was also in the Ladies Community Club and she and her husband, Westley, were honored in 1994 for 50 years of service to 4-H.
Mrs. Hutson is survived by one son, Eugene Hutson and his wife, Rocetia, of Trenton; one daughter, Dixie Overton and her husband, Jim, of Trenton; five grandchildren, Lana Faye Boswell and her husband, Don, of Chillicothe, Paul Overton of Trenton, Mark Overton and his wife, Lori, of Trenton, Colleen Kidd and her husband, Andy, of Trenton, and Erika Swindler and her husband, Justin, of Braymer; eight great-grandchildren, Valerie Brandsgaard and her husband, Adam, of Warrensburg, Kadi Gamble of Cameron, Melanie Baker and her husband, Rusty, of Chillicothe, Justin Bland of Columbia, Shawn Overton and his wife, Norma, of Trenton, Victoria Overton of Chula and Tyler and Haley Kidd of Trenton; five great-great-grandchildren, Westley Brandsgaard of Warrensburg, Gabriel, Arianna and Alaina Overton of Trenton and Braden Baker of Chillicothe; and numerous step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren; and step-great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers, four sisters, and one great-great-grandson, Drennon Brandsgaard.
Memorials have been suggested to the Shelburne Baptist Church Improvements Fund or the Dockery Chapel Church Building Fund.
