Emma Shields, an 81-year-old resident of Jamesport, died on Friday, March 12, 2004 at the Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany.

Emma Shields, an 81-year-old resident of Jamesport, died on Friday, March 12, 2004 at the Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 14, 2004 at the Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany. Burial was in the Springer Chapel Cemetery at Gilman City.
Mrs. Shields was born Sept. 6, 1922 in Harrison County, the daughter of Merien and Maun Neff Maple. She was married on Jan. 21, 1946 to Myron Shields, who preceded her in death on Sept. 6, 1984. She was a homemaker and a member of the Gilman City Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Marsha Clark and her husband, Jim, of Jamesport, and Beverly Johns and her husband, Chuck, of Independence; two grandsons, Matthew Clark and his wife, Sarah Jane, and Justin Clark and his wife, Sarah; one great-grandson, Garret Clark; one great-granddaughter, Gracen Clark; one sister, Martiele Budimlija of Kansas City, KS; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Vivan Maple; and two sisters, Edra Mumma and Lois Smith.
The family has suggested memorial contributions to the Harrison County Community Hospital Auxiliary Fund. They may be left at or sent to the Roberson Funeral Home, PO Box 46, Bethany, MO. 64424.
