Funeral services for Nora Faye Danks will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2004, at the Rural Dale Baptist Church, east of Trenton. Revs. Larry Danks and Jeremy Skinner will officiate. Burial will be in the Rural Dale Cemetery.
A family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 12, 2004, at the Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton. General visitation will begin after 8 a.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2004, at the mortuary.
Mrs. Danks, a 54-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 8, 2004 at the home of a longtime friend, Peggy Kincaid. She had been under the care of Wright Memorial Hospice after a year-long battle with cancer.
Mrs. Danks was born in Spickard on April 1, 1949, the daughter of Oakley and Dorothy Kincaid Stottlemyre. She attended Trenton schools and received an associate of applied science degree in accounting from North Central Missouri College. She worked at several locations, including Modine Manufacturing, after high school and had been an accountant at Global Instruments from November 1993 to the present.
She was married on Feb. 10, 1979 to Rick Woodside. They were divorced in 1982. She met her future husband, John Danks, while working for her long-time friend, Linda Brewer. They were married on Oct. 13, 2003 in Las Vegas. He survives of the home.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Chadwick Earl Woodside, also of the home; her mother, Dorothy Stottlemyre of Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton; one sister, Beverly Schmidt of Trenton; two brothers, Norman Stottlemyre and his wife, Jenny, of Kingston, and Kenny Stottlemyre and his wife, Glenda, of Wayne City, IL; and one granddaughter, Shayla Dawn Woodside of Trenton.
She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, James J. L. Stottlemyre.
