Henry Vincil Brassfield, an 87-year-old resident of Fresno, CA, died on Monday, Feb. 9, 2004. He was a former Trenton resident.

Henry Vincil Brassfield, an 87-year-old resident of Fresno, CA, died on Monday, Feb. 9, 2004. He was a former Trenton resident.

Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004 at the University Presbyterian Church in Fresno. A private burial service was also held on Thursday at Belmont Memorial Park.

Mr. Brassfield was born on January 25, 1917, in Macon. He had an Allis-Chalmers dealership in Trenton. He won highest sales award while being the youngest dealer in the territory.

He married Garnet Pederson on May 30, 1939. They moved to California and he went to work for the Bank of America until he was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1943. He served overseas in the European theatre and Japan, returning in 1946 to the Bank of America until his retirement in 1985. He was active in his church and several service organizations.

Mr. Brassfield is survived by his wife, Garnet; two daughters, Karen Robertson and her husband, Barry, and Linda Lev; grandchildren, Jason and Cecillia Fountain, Jodi and Rob Higgs, Layne and Melissa Lev and Nathan Lev and his fiance, Alessia Bernardini; three great-grandchildren, Les Fountain, Bailey and Brady Higgs; two sisters, Mary Ella Ray and her husband, Eldon, and Louise Boltz; and six nieces and nephews and their families
