Ervin Peter Gosch, an 84-year-old resident of Lineville, IA, died on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004 at his residence in Lineville.

The body was cremated and memorial services will be held at a later date, under the direction of the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Service of Lineville. Inurnment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Lineville.

Mr. Gosch was born May 22, 1919 in Berne, IA, the son of Frederick Wilheilm and Ameliae Borchadt Gosch. He was raised in northwest Iowa. He and his family moved from Ute, IA to Lineville in 1958. He farmed and worked as a carpenter in Lineville for several years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army.

Mr. Gosch was married to Elsie Mae Willis, who preceded him in death on Oct. 20, 1966. He later married Naida Davis Vandruff, who preceded him in death on June 13, 2000.

He is survived by two daughters, Eloise Gosch of Marceline and Jackie Redfearn of Fayetteville, AR; a stepson, Kenneth Vandruff of Burke, VA; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a companion, Velora Hashman of Lineville.

In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Larry Gosch, who was killed in action during the Vietnam War.
