The Spickard Board of Aldermen met Tuesday night, with a new alderman receiving the oath of office.

According to City Clerk DeAnn Olson, the oath of office was administered to Jim Standiford, who will serve as south ward alderman until the April election, taking the place of Toni Wilson, who has moved from the city. Mrs. Olson said that no one filed for the two positions in the south ward, subject to the April election. A one-year unexpired term is open, as is a two-year term.

In other business, aldermen discussed spring cleanup, with no dates announced. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 2.
