The Trenton Planning and Zoning Commission met Tuesday night, agreeing to send two recommendations to the city council for approval and setting a special meeting to further consider another request.

The commission approved a request from Richard Hull for a 10-foot variance on the rear yard setback to allow him to construct a garage on property located at 305 Ellison. Also approved was a six-foot variance on the rear yard setback to allow R.G. Clark to construct a shed at 2312 Princeton Rd.

The commission also considered a request from Evelyn Trickel, on behalf of Ronnie Kincade and Joseph Whitney. The request involved changing the city zoning map from R-2 (single family lower density) to MU (mixed use) for property owned by Mrs. Trickel and Whitney on Iowa Boulevard. Due to an incorrect legal description on one of the three blocks involved in the request, only two of the three blocks were approved, with the third to be considered at a special meeting at noon on Feb. 20 at which time a similar request for adjoining property owned by Dr. J.A. Keuhn will be heard.

The commission?s recommendations will now be sent to the city council for approval.
