County Announces Dates To Remember
Several dates have been announced that may be of interest to county residents.
Feb. 10 is the deadline for items to be submitted to the county for inclusion in the Centennial Time Capsule. Items may be taken to the county clerk?s office.
Feb. 23 is the date for the annual meeting to discuss CART Rock with officials from the county?s townships.The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Green Hills Community Action Agency.
Feb. 24 is the first day that candidates may file for office subject to the August 3 Primary Election. Offices up for election include first district commissioner, currently held by Gene Wyant; second district commissioner, held by Bud Cox; assessor, held by Andrea Steinhoff; sheriff, held by Greg Coon; public administrator, held by Joyce Tuttle; coroner, held by Tom Eads; and treasurer, held by Colleen Hutson. Candidates may file through March 30.
