Area residents interested in forming a community chorus are asked to attend the chorus’ first rehearsal on Sunday, Feb. 8.
The chorus, sponsored by the Grundy County Friends of the Arts, plans to present its first concert the weekend of Palm Sunday (April 3-4), performing Handel’s “Messiah.” The first practice is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Wesley United Methodist Church, located at the corner of Ninth and Washington streets. Practices will be held each Sunday at 2 p.m. until the performance date.
