Danny Alan Dunkin Hopton, a 41 year-old resident of 1110 Custer in Trenton, died on Friday, Dec. 12, 2003 at Saint Luke?s Hospital in Kansas City as the result of a heart attack.

Danny Alan Dunkin Hopton, a 41 year-old resident of 1110 Custer in Trenton, died on Friday, Dec. 12, 2003 at Saint Luke?s Hospital in Kansas City as the result of a heart attack.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003 at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton. Rick Felzein will officiate. The body will be cremated following the service.

A general visitation is in progress at the funeral home.

Mr. Hopton was born on April 3, 1962 in Eureka Springs, AR, the son of Jim and Patricia Jean SanFlice Dunkin. He graduated from Trenton High School in 1980. He attended Trenton Junior College and Missouri Western State College at St Joseph and graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He was a life-long resident of Trenton and was self-employed photographer and had worked as a disk jockey for KCHI radio in Chillicothe.

He is survived by his fiance, Sherry Winters, of the home in Trenton; his mother and stepfather, Patricia and Leon Betz of Chillicothe; four daughters, Ambria Hopton of St. Charles, Danielle Hopton of Belton, and Straussy Winters and Tabytha Winters, both of the home in Trenton; two sons, Dahlton Hopton of the home in Trenton and Dustin Hopton of Belton; two step-sisters, Betty Page of Chillicothe and Robin Powell of Humphreys; one brother, Donnie Dunkin of Trenton; two nephews, Rocky Dunkin and Ryan Dunkin of Trenton; and one niece, Bobbie Jo Dunkin of Trenton.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Dunkin, and an infant son, Danny A. Hopton Jr.

The family has suggested memorials to the Danny Hopton Memorial Fund. They may be left at the funeral home
