Helen I. Hampshire, a 96-year-old resident of Kansas City North, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003 at North Kansas City Hospital. She was a native of Grundy County.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003 at the Fairview Christian Church, located at 1800 N.E. 65th St. in Gladstone. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. that day.
Mrs. Hampshire was born Sept. 3, 1907 in Grundy County, the daughter of Ora and Lulu Clark Briegel.
She is survived by her husband, Floyd, of the home; two daughters, Mary Benton of Belton and Colleen Diamond and her husband, Ray, of Liberty; two sons, Dale Hampshire and his wife, Peggy of Independence, and Ronald Hampshire and his wife, Cheri of LaVista, NE; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Fairview Church.
