Christopher Dale Berry, a 19-year-old resident of Pleasant Valley, died on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003 at the KU Medical Center in Kansas City. He was a former Excelsior Springs resident and was a student at North Central Missouri College in Trenton.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003 at the Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery at Excelsior Springs.
A family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 o?clock tonight (Monday, Dec. 1, 2003) at the funeral home.
Mr. Berry was born on Nov. 24, 1984 in North Kansas City, the son of Allen Dale and Cheri Ballinger Berry. He was a 2003 graduate of Excelsior Springs High School. While at NCMC he was a member of the Criminal Justice Club. He enjoyed baseball and loved the outdoors, including fishing and hunting.
Mr. Berry is survived by his father, Dale Berry of Pleasant Valley; his mother, Cheri Berry of Excelsior Springs; one brother, Chad Kelly of Excelsior Springs; two sisters, Chelsi Berry of Excelsior Springs and Randi Berry of Pleasant Valley; his grandparents, Gary and Jackie Ballinger of Excelsior Springs, Wanda Crockett of Pleasant Valley, Ed and Nina Berry of Excelsior Springs and Sue Berry of Excelsior Springs; his great-grandparents, Evelyn Ferguson of Trenton and Lorraine Emke of Lexington; his girlfriend, Megan McGaugh of Excelsior Springs; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Christopher Berry Memorial Fund for Excelsior Springs High School and/or the Christopher Berry Memorial Fund to help with expenses.
