Mrs. Juanita Higginbotham, a 79-year-old resident of Spickard, died Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 18, 2003 at Liberty Hospital in Liberty.

Mrs. Juanita Higginbotham, a 79-year-old resident of Spickard, died Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 18, 2003 at Liberty Hospital in Liberty.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003 at the Spickard Christian Church in Spickard. Brother Duane Campbell will officiate. Burial will be at the Martin Cemetery, north of Tindall.
A family visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, prior to the service. The body is at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton.
Mrs. Higginbotham was born Feb. 29, 1924 at Kansas City, the daughter of Harry and Rose Price Newport. She attended Kansas City schools and lived in Kansas City until August 1993, when she moved to Spickard.
She was employed as a Crystal Worker for Electronic Crystal Corp. of Kansas City until she retired. She was a member of Spickard Christian Church in Spickard.
She was married to Elmer Higginbotham, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by one sister, Bessie Lee Hickman of Spickard; one step-grandson Neil Smother-man of Shawnee Mission, KS; and four nieces, Connie R. Watkins of Spickard, Carmen E. Coon of Spickard Sandra L. Hainbach of Pueblo, CO, and C. Beth Arnold of West Grove, PA.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one step-daughter, two brothers, one sister, one niece and two nephews.
The family suggests memorials to the American Lung Association or the Spickard Christian Church.
