Alma M. Thomas, an 88-year-old resident of San Antonio, TX, died on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003. She was the sister of Lelan Ryan of Trenton.

Alma M. Thomas, an 88-year-old resident of San Antonio, TX, died on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003. She was the sister of Lelan Ryan of Trenton.
A memorial service is planned for 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 17, 2003 at the Porter Loring Chapel in San Antonio. The Rev. Joe Waits will officiate.
Mrs. Thomas was an avid golfer and member of the Ft. Sam Houston Golf Club and Ladies Association. She was president of the San Antonio Ladies Golf Association in 1966-67 and 1971-72. She served as co-chairman of volunteers for the 50th PGA Championship Tournament at Pecan Valley in 1968. At the time of her death she was working at Earl Able’s Restaurant, with 30 years of service. She was also retired from the Porter Loring Mortuary.
In addition to her brother, she is survived by a nephew, Dr. David Ryan of Trenton; a niece, Jane Stoll and her husband, Doug, of Lee’s Summit; a great-niece, Sarah Hill and her husband, Andy of Columbia; and two great-nephews, Ryan Stoll of Kansas City and Grant Stoll of Pittsburgh, PA; a great-great-niece, Trisha Hill of Columbia; and several friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L.K. “Tommy” Thomas.
