Helen Louise Osborne, a 77-year-old resident of Clio, IA, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003 at the Corydon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon, IA.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday,ll Nov. 12, 2003 at the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel in Lineville, IA with Rev. Max Carmichael officiating. Cremation will follow the service and inurnment of the cremains will be in Shenandoah, IA at a later date.
Open visitation is under way at the funeral chapel, with a family visitation to be from 7 to 8 o?clock tonight (Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003).
Mrs. Osborne was born on April 24, 1926 at Clio, the daughter of George Wellington ?Bill? and Wilma Richard Toliver. She was raised near Clio, graduating in 1943 from Clio High School. She was a member of the Clio United Methodist Church. She later moved to Shenandoah, first working for the KFNF radio station and later for the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company, retiring from there after 36 years in Shenandoah, Wichita, KS and Des Moines, IA.
Mrs. Osborne was married Sept. 17, 1949 to Clyde S. Osborne, who preceded her in death on May 13, 1964.
She is survived by a son, Gary Osborne and his wife, Marilyn, of Clio; a grandson, Tim Osborne and his wife, Tara, of Des Moines; four nephews, Mathew Dilley and Roy, Patrick and Robert Osborne; one niece, Polly Ray; and other relatives and friends.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Clio United Methodist Church or the Hospice of Central Iowa. They can be mailed to the funeral home at 310 W. Third St., Lineville, IA 50147.
