Trail Association Work Day Set
The Green Hills Trail Association will host a trail work day Saturday at Crowder State Park, beginning at 9 a.m.
Anyone interested in serving as a trail volunteer is encouraged to attend, with work taking place on the River Forks Trail and focusing primarily on erosion repair and the placement of trail blazes. Volunteers should meet at the dam, which is the origin and finishing point of the trail, and be dressed appropriately for weather conditions. The trail association has limited tools, gloves and safety glasses and volunteers are encouraged to bring their own equipment, if possible. Trailwork should conclude around 1 p.m. and those who wish to enjoy a post-work ride are encouraged to bring mountain bikes.
The Green Hills Trail Association was created to develop and maintain trails in the Green Hills Region. Individuals interested in joining or learning more about the association should contact Doug Long at 660-646-0322.
