Mrs. Margaret Evelyn Johnson, a 79-year-old resident of the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, died at 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003 at the nursing home, where she had resided since November 1999.

Mrs. Margaret Evelyn Johnson, a 79-year-old resident of the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, died at 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003 at the nursing home, where she had resided since November 1999.

Mrs. Johnson was born on Jan. 7, 1924 at Dewitt, the daughter of Clearance Zelma Howell Chapman. She was raised at Dewitt and attended the Cripsin School near Dewitt. She was married at Linneus on April 20, 1956 to Raymond Brown, who preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 1979. They resided in the Dewitt and Carrollton areas before moving to Oregon and then returned to Missouri in 1963. She was married at Trenton on Dec. 6, 1980 to Carl Johnson at Trenton.
Mrs. Johnson worked as an LPN for many years. She attended the Tenth Street Baptist Church and was a member and past worthy matron of th Parsons Chapter #189 Order of the Eastern Star in Trenton.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, Carl Johnson who resides at the nursing home; a step-son, Dr. Steven R. Brown of Newport, OR; a step-daughter, Marjorie Kilgore of Albany, OR; two sisters, Irene Duff of Parker, AZ and Lucille Reimer of Carrollton; one brother, Clarence Chapman of Carrollton; five step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband.
