Connie Gass, a 68-year-old resident of Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, died at 7:40 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003 at the nursing home, where she had resided for one week. She was a native of Trenton and formerly resided at 2610 Princeton Road.

Connie Gass, a 68-year-old resident of Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, died at 7:40 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003 at the nursing home, where she had resided for one week. She was a native of Trenton and formerly resided at 2610 Princeton Road.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003 at the Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton. Burial will be in the Grundy Center Cemetery, northeast of Trenton.

There is no scheduled family visitation planned. General visitation is currently under way at the mortuary.

Mrs. Gass was born on Feb. 14, 1935 at Trenton, the daughter of Maurice ?Whip? and Naomi Ruth Morrill Sharon. She graduated from Trenton High School and attended Trenton Junior College.

She was married on Sept. 17, 1955 at Trenton to James Merle Gass, who preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 2003. After their marriage they lived at Trenton until moving to Kerrville, TX, where they resided for 15 years before returning to Trenton.

Mrs. Gass was a member of Hodge Presbyterian Church, Beta Sigma Phi sorority and the Order of the Eastern Star, all of Trenton.

She is survived by a daughter, Pam, now Mrs David Forson of Kansas City; two sons, Tom Gass of Humphreys and Tim Gass of Kerrville; one brother, Larry Sharon of Lexington; one sister, Deanna Wiggins of Peculiar; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

The family has suggested memorial contributions to the Green Hills Animal Shelter.
