The city of Trenton is now accepting applications for a police officer.
Current police officer Jesse Wills was among members of the Missouri National Guard called up this week to serve in Iraq as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. Candidates for the position must be certified under the current POST certification requirements and must pass all pre-employment testing. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled and can be obtained at the Trenton Police Department in the Emergency Services Complex at 1001 E. 17th St.
