Janet Vanderpool, associate dean of allied health sciences at North Central Missouri College, has been appointed to the National Council of State Boards of Nursing Item Review Subcommittee.

Janet Vanderpool, associate dean of allied health sciences at North Central Missouri College, has been appointed to the National Council of State Boards of Nursing Item Review Subcommittee.

Responsibilities of the committee include the evaluation of all Registered Nurse and Practical Nurse pretest questions as well as all operational items. In addition, they must evaluate the examinations of each candidate in relation to a variety of criteria; provide written reports to the Examination Committee and function in committee representation at national development meetings.

Mrs. Vanderpool, a resident of Princeton, holds a master?s degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor?s degree in nursing from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. In addition, she received her associate?s degree from Trenton Junior College and is a registered nurse. Gov. Bob Holden appointed Mrs. Vanderpool to the Missouri State Board of Nursing in July 2002.
