Willa Jean Critten, a 72-year-old resident of 729 W. 16th St. in Trenton, died at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003 at Heartland East Hospital in St. Joseph, where she had been a patient the past 18 days.

Willa Jean Critten, a 72-year-old resident of 729 W. 16th St. in Trenton, died at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003 at Heartland East Hospital in St. Joseph, where she had been a patient the past 18 days.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003 at the Dockery Chapel United Methodist Church, southwest of Trenton. Brother Richard Key will officiate. Burial will be in the Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton.
Open visitation is now under way at the funeral home. No scheduled family visitation is planned.
Mrs. Critten was born on Dec. 19, 1930 at Mill Grove, the daughter of Leonard E. and Lois E. Allen Stotts. She lived at Mill Grove as a small child, moving with her family to Trenton, where she grew up. She was married on June 15, 1947 at Trenton to Marvin Critten. They lived and farmed in the Jamesport community until they retired, moving to Trenton in 1993.
Mrs. Critten is survived by her husband, Marvin, of the home in Trenton; two sons, David Critten and his wife, Marian, of Lock Springs, and Danny Critten and his wife, Connie, of Jamesport; a brother, Don Stotts and his wife, Debbie, of Trenton; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Critten was preceded in death by an infant daughter and two sisters, an infant and Mona Ruth Stotts.
