Betty M. Eads, a 71-year-old resident of 1010 Avalon in Trenton, died Saturday afternoon, July 19, 2003 at Research Hospital in Kansas City, where she had been a patient since Monday, July 7, 2003.

Betty M. Eads, a 71-year-old resident of 1010 Avalon in Trenton, died Saturday afternoon, July 19, 2003 at Research Hospital in Kansas City, where she had been a patient since Monday, July 7, 2003.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton. Rev. Ron Ratliff will officiate. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
A family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at the mortuary.
Mrs. Eads was born Aug. 30, 1931 in Daviess County, the daughter of Chancey and Beulah Terry Brookshier. She was raised in the Lock Springs community and graduated from Lock Springs High School.
She was married on Dec. 13, 1951 at Bentonville, AR to Melvin Eads, who preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 1970.
Mrs. Eads moved to Trenton in 1972. She had been employed at the Sunnyview Nursing Home for 16 years before retiring. She was a member of the Tenth Street Baptist Church in Trenton and the Eastern Star at Lock Springs.
Mrs. Eads is survived by three sons, Gary Eads of Spickard and Rick and Brad Eads, both of Grand Junction, CO; a daughter, Debbie, now Mrs. Jim Berry of Higginsville; a sister, Dixie Gilgour of Chillicothe; a brother Marven Brookshier of Bogard; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Brookshier; and a sister, Violet Warren.
