Ronald Roy Marrs, an 86-year-old resident of 2306 Princeton Road in Trenton, died Thursday evening, July 17, 2003 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.

Ronald Roy Marrs, an 86-year-old resident of 2306 Princeton Road in Trenton, died Thursday evening, July 17, 2003 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 21, 2003 at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton. Rev. Ron Ratliff will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
Mr. Marrs was born Jan. 17, 1917 in Spickard, the son of Lester Claude and Susan Matilda Burt Marrs. He attended Denslow School in Grundy County. He had lived in Trenton over 40 years. He was self-employed as a truck driver. He attended the Tenth Street Baptist Church in Trenton.
He was married on Jan. 15, 1955 at Carrollton to Elva C. Kirkpatrick. She passed away on June 24,1980.
Survivors include one step-son, Noel Kirkpatrick and his wife, Ruth, of Trenton; one step-daughter, Anna Belle Hagan and her husband, Ferrill, of Trenton; one brother, Leland Marrs and his wife, Lois, of Spickard; four step-grandchildren, four nieces and one nephew.
Mr. Marrs was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lucille Stevens and Lorraine Dennis; and one niece, Mary Sue Webber.
