A puppetry display is now on exhibit at the Grundy County-Jewett Norris Library as part of the PuppetFest MidWest activities, which will be held next week in Trenton.
Parasol Puppets, based at Jamesport, has placed the exhibit at the library. Entitled, ?How We Build a Hand Puppet,? the exhibit offers examples of different styles of puppet construction. It can be viewed on the main floor of the library throughout the month of July.
A puppet exhibit featuring puppets created by many of the PuppetFest MidWest participants will be at the Dorris Rider Art Gallery on the North Central Missouri College from Wednesday, July 9 to Saturday, July 12.
PuppetFest MidWest is an independent puppetry festival which will feature performers and participants from throughout the United States and Canada. Several programs, open to the public, are planned in Trenton next week along with workshops and other activities for festival participants.
