Charles E. Orndorff, a 72-year-old former Princeton resident, died at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2003 at the Christian Health Care in Hermitage, where he had been a resident for the past two weeks.

Charles E. Orndorff, a 72-year-old former Princeton resident, died at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2003 at the Christian Health Care in Hermitage, where he had been a resident for the past two weeks.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2003 at the Princeton Cemetery. There is no scheduled family visitation at the Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton. Visitation is under way at the mortuary.
Mr. Orndorff was born May 6, 1931 at Princeton, the son of Mamie Orndorff. He attended Princeton schools. He was married on Jan. 23, 1951 in Princeton to Winona L. Meek. He served with the United States Army in Korea from 1952 until his discharge in 1954. After his discharge, he returned to Princeton, where the couple made their home before moving to Marshall in 1964. Mr. Orndorff was employed at Mabe Chevrolet in Princeton and then at Yost Chevrolet in Marshall as a mechanic his entire working life. He had resided in Hermitage for the past six years.
Mr. Orndorff was a member of the Pittsburg Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Winona Orndorff, of the home.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions be left to the Pittsburg Baptist Church in Pittsburg. These may be left at or mailed to the Resthaven Mortuary at P.O. Box 587, Trenton, MO 64683.
