Visitors are invited and welcome to come to the Ketcham Community Center on the NCMC campus to view the displays and visit with the collectors and may even come away with a pen or two. The best time to visit is from 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday and Monday; 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday; and from 6 to 8 o’clock on Sunday evening. Activities not open to the public are planned on Monday and Tuesday evening as well as the Tuesday morning business meeting.

The group plans to tour the Grundy County Museum and the Jamesport community. Veach Saddlery will have a display at the convention on Monday and Mary Kay representatives will be giving facials for the ladies on Tuesday. On Monday evening, former Harlem Globetrotter Gator Rivers will speak and perform for the collectors. A members-only auction will be held on Tuesday with local auctioneers doing the calling.

The Tuesday business meeting will include election of new officers and planning for the 2005 convention. A number of door prizes, donated by local businesses and organizations, will be given away.

Trenton Mayor Gary Hall and Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce will be present to welcome the collectors to the community. Upon arriving at the convention, each person will be presented a ditty bag with items donated by Trenton businesses.

Ron Dougan of Trenton, who is vice president of the organization, and Ron Peterie, a member, will host the convention.

This is the second time the collectors have brought their convention to Trenton, having been here in 2001.
