Norma J. Hendren, a 72-year-old resident of Bethany, died Thursday, May 29, 2003 at a Liberty hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at the Roberson Funeral Home at Bethany. Burial will be in the Miriam Cemetery at Bethany.

Visitation is under way at the funeral home. A family visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight (Tuesday, June 3, 2003) at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hendren was born Aug. 2, 1930 at Princeton, the daughter of Paul and Gladys Dean Harper. She was married on March 18, 1950 to R. Sam Hendren. He preceded her in death on Aug. 21, 2000. Mrs. Hendren was a homemaker.

Mrs. Hendren is survived by one daughter, Teri Kay Marden and her husband, Ron, of Kansas City; two sons, Steven R. Hendren of Bethany and Harley P. Hendren and his wife, Kumiko, of Yakota Air Force Base in Japan; and an aunt, Deloris Sawyer of Trenton.
