The Grundy County Commission met in special session Thursday, taking action on a personnel matter.

According to County Clerk Kristi Urich, the commission voted unanimously to demote Bill Hunter, who had been serving as county road and bridge supervisor, to the position of Road and Bridge Employee II, which is a member of the crew. Applications will be sought to fill the position of supervisor.

The commission plans to hold its regular weekly meeting on Tuesday, with agenda items including a 9:30 a.m. meeting with Ken West, who was the architect for the elevator project; a 10 a.m. meeting with Archtype Architects to discuss the proposed jail; an 11 a.m. meeting with Steve Tracy, interim ambulance supervisor; and lunch at the Laredo Hy-Klas.
