Billy Lee McAllister, a 68-year-old resident of Jamesport, died on Saturday, May 17, 2003 at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, KS.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at the Jamesport Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Jamesport.
General visitation is now under way and a family visitation will be tonight (Monday, May 19, 2003) from 6: 30 to 8?clock at the McWilliams Family Funeral Home in Jamesport.
Mr. McAllister was born Aug. 27, 1934 in rural Grundy County to Boyd and Myrtle Hampton McAllister. He graduated from Jamesport High School in 1952. After high school he worked for Armco Steel for many years, returning to Jamesport to farm and attend auctioneering school. He was married on March 3, 1972 in Jamesport to Natha Kimberling Wahlers. During this time he pursued a career in real estate sales and continued to own and operate his auctioneering business. He was also the co-owner of the Tri-County Weekly and K-K Printing.
Mr. McAllister served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Jamesport United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge and the Missouri Auctioneers Association.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Natha, of the home; two sons, Tim Wahlers and Eric McAllister of Jamesport; two granddaughters, Sara and Erin Wahlers; and a great-grandson, Joshua Watterson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Kimi, in 1957.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Jamesport United Methodist Church or the Jamesport First Responders.
