Students who have passed the General Education Diploma program while attending Adult Education and Literacy classes at North Central Missouri College will be honored during a ceremony and reception on Friday, June 13. The public is invited to attend the program.

Students who have passed the General Education Diploma program while attending Adult Education and Literacy classes at North Central Missouri College will be honored during a ceremony and reception on Friday, June 13. The public is invited to attend the program.

The event will be at 5:30 p.m. in the Ketcham Community Center gymnasium. Refreshments will be provided following the ceremony. New features this year will include a Power Point presentation prior to the ceremony, recognition of students who obtained scholarship level on their GED scores, and the announcement of a fund raising venture to help students who can?t afford to pay to take the GED test.

The AEL program at NCMC has helped 64 people pass the GED test in the first nine months of the fiscal year that ends on June 30. AEL Director John Stains said that invitations have been sent to all eligible GED recipients, however, if a person who has passed the GED test while attending the AEL at NCMC but has not received an invitation to the ceremony, he or she should contact the AEL office at 660-359-6687.
